remember I'm alive by the heat of my skin
the sheer pain inside from a distant memory
flickers hope,
lighting a fire; contrasts to yesterday's
release the burden of the decaying corpse;
the heart of old
Gone for good.
Can time really unwind the damage done
Or will we live a lie
because this is what you want
but I'm staggering behind
trying to see the ghost in your fleeing shadow
gone too fast
of whom I trusted; soul & heart
